So guys, it turns out I'm not leaving until tomorrow (d'oh) and won't be back until the 10th.

So tonight, I've done allll my packing, and now I'm writing chapter 27. Maybe I'll even get it done to post in time - I know exactly what's happening in it, which is optimistic, but it's going to be a tricky one to arrange.

If it doesn't get posted tonight, then I will leave you with this: the chapter's working title is 'The City of Ashes'.

So if you find yourself terminally bored, maybe you can kill some time speculating! Aren't I nice?

And now I'm going to sit in front of my laptop, and watch my inbox like it holds some kind of answer I've been waiting for all my life.

Right now it's looking surprisingly promising. I aim for about 2000 words in a chapter, and right now I'm at almost half that.

But, this chapter's looking like it may be longer than most. I'm not really keen on breaking it up into two, so I'll have to see what's appropriate if it starts getting wayyy too long.
