Hi guys,
Since I'm finishing up with Superstar, I'm planning my next project. I did say I'd feature a Gazefic, but I've expanded that plan a little: what I want to do next is create a kind of universe around the first fic I posted in this journal, Protect Me. This will include a prequel, following the sequence of events between the murder Toshiya commits and his eventual escape, as well as a separate Die/Shinya storyline (ulp). It may also then spread to a sequel, which will be more Gazette-centric, although would also feature some of the previous characters.
This is basically a nice way for me to indulge my enjoyment of writing yakuza fic, as well as creating a nice DIAGRAM. Whenever I start a new fic, I draw character relation tables and sometimes even maps of the settings, so I can picture it all in my head (note: a lot of these projects don't work out, and I own a lot of made-up maps now). So on that note, here's a graphic to help sort out different yakuza rankings, for anybody who doesn't find research fun.
I've already started my horribly drawn-out planning process for the prequel, which will be called House of Cards. Therefore, I now need to go through every single entry of Protect Me and add the 'House of Cards universe' tag. Again, this kind of housekeeping is strangely enjoyable to me.
Then again, I should really be studying for my midterms, so if anybody knows of a super quick way to do this then holla.
