For applying for my Canadian Study Permit and trying to wrestle out this most recent chapter of Fifteen Years. I'm very slow today. I'm only halfway through! Ulp.

At least the Study Permit stuff is (finally) going alright. I am slowly wrestling my way through the billion and one pieces of paper they seem to think will certify that I won't mess up their country.

1. Disorder - Joy Division
2. Don't Look Away - The Magnetic Fields
3. Atmosphere - Joy Division
4. When You're Old And Lonely - The Magnetic Fields
5. Peacebone - Animal Collective
6. Hearing Damage - Thom Yorke
7. Harrowdown Hill - Thom Yorke
8. Beneath the Fire - Evaline
9. Catherine - PJ Harvey
10. This Mess We're In - PJ Harvey

All of them were songs for the writing of Fifteen Years. Apart from 'Catherine'. I was listening to that because I like it. And my name is Catherine.

haha, aw, you're welcome! I hope they improve the story, maybe. But it's pretty personal, so it probably means different songs for everyone! These are just the ones that have been inspiring me recently.

Canadian Study Permit? Are you from Canada? Sorry for being stupid enough to ask, but we just befriended each other and I want to find out more about you... ;)

Thak you for the list!
Aaaand I have to read the last three chapters... I'm soooo stressed atm, but I have to read them! I just love your stories and I hope there will be a new one soon ;D

Haha, it's not a stupid question! I'm not Canadian, but this September I'm setting off there to do a year of studying abroad.

And I'm so scared!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you did a year abroad even further away, right?!

Ah, okay :) Sounds awesome! It's going to be a marvelous experience, I promise you ;)
I'm from Austria and I did a semester abroad in Australia. I'm actually still here :D University is over and now we will do some traveling (east coast and then I'm going to Japan before going home).
I understand that you are scared, but you are not alone. There will be a lot of exchange students and you will meet a lot of new people. The first time will be a bit weird, because you have to get used to your new surroundings and a different system (like university system for example). I'm sure you'll have an awesome time :D (it will be so awesome that you even don't wanna go home anymore, because you'll miss everything especially the people sooo much. At least that's what happening to me right now XD)

Btw, I hope my English got better here. Is it understandable? ;p

Austraaalia! You did venture out into the wild, didn't you!? Wow!

I am very jealous of you getting to go to Japan, too! That's a pretty big dream of mine.

And aw, I hope you don't miss everybody too much! My sister did a year abroad in Southern Spain and she was bawling when she got home. "It's so cold here and I MISS MY BOYFRIEND!"

But she's just graduated, so she's going back. So I wonder if that'll happen to me! I'm glad you had a good experience of it; makes me feel a little more comfortable!

We are adventurers. Oh, and your English is perfect!

I nearly forgot to comment here once again, sorry XD

I did not really see the bush or sth like that, but I've seen a lot, believe me. We are currently doing an east coast trip and at the moment we are in Brisbane. It's awesome!
And I'm looking forward to Japan. It's my second time being there :) You should definitely go there, it's worth the visit. It is an awesome country and I fell in love with Tokyo (especially Harajuku...).

You'll see, it's going to be an awesome experience and of course there will be times when you miss your family and friends for example, but that's normal. And as I've said, when it's time for you to go back home again, it's going to be sooo hard ;)

Yes, we are adventurers! And that's good, because this is what makes our lives exciting!
Thank you, btw :)
