So bad news: Hermes, my faithful five month old laptop, has bitten the dust (quite literally; I opened him up and he was covered in it) and I've written my last word on his grotty keyboard.
He is still under warranty, but whether that means Toshiba will pay to get him fixed or not, I don't know. The unfortunate news is, until then, I am officially computer-less (apart from the library computers, where I'm currently writing from)...
The truly unfortunate news is that means, of course, my writing's gonna suffer a delay; the really truly unfortunate news is that I am now reeeeally scraping around for a means to write my final Critical Theory essay of the year...a healthy sixty percent of my module.
Put simply: ahhhhh!
In better news, I have planned my dissertation topic (a study of the role of myth and magic in the creation of the feminine role in the novels of Angela Carter) and recieved the definite green light from the university I'm studying at in Canada next year. So chocks away in that respect. I leave on the 1st September this yearand I'm definitely not scared.
So pleeease be patient with me...I will still be writing when I can find the time with exams, essays, and computer access, but until I get a laptop of my own again, things are uncertain!
PEACE xx

But good luck writing your essay yah! And Canada will be great. Can't wait to see what you do next (but exams more important first!)
Saying that I seem to recall always writing better when exams came around (mostly because I was procrastinating)
PS: I stumbled across this song, and thought that it reminded me so much of parts of AMLOR: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNZLZtUpH-E . Have a listen if you like ^^

And I look forward to taking a gander at that song when I'm next at a computer instead of on my phone! Until then...peace! Xxx
