Jun. 20th, 2012 12:46 pmStill invigilating exams. We seriously have a student called Bliss Goldie. Er, what?
I've made the important decisions (just about) regarding my companion fic to Fifteen Years, now, and started writing it properly. So that's good! I've also named it The Glasshouse. All these decisions! How very adult.
It's good to be writing it with some kind of order, now, because for the past few days I've just been plotting excerpts. I was even writing some scenes in the exam I was invigilating this morning. Which was kinda funny. Because it was porn.
I've been writing in the first person, but in the actual fic, I'm going for third person. I think if I tried to write as Kyo continuously, I'd go mental, and it'd probably come off very contrived.
The funny thing is, because this starts slightly earlier than Fifteen Years (I'm thinking 1995/96), I've been looking up photos to try and give me some ideas of their general appearances. Why was La:Sadies so goddamn hilarious? Kaoru looks like the king of the chumps, and Die and Shinya look like they want to kill themselves. Kyo seems to be throwing the camera a kind of Tyra Banks Top Model facial expression at all times, Kisaki I can't even talk about, and I have to mention Shinya again just because of the outfits. He looks like he should be in the movie Psycho. When Norman Bates dresses up as his mother. Uh, spoiler alert.
But that's what he looks like: a serial killer with mommy issues.
Oh and, Die and Kaoru's hair right about here.
So this is all very much fun. Luckily I'm not aware of any pre-DEG pictures of Toshiya, so I get to use my imagination to make him look halfway decent. On the other hand, if anyone has any (or any early pictures of Toshiya/Kyo would be appreciated, really) please send them my way, as I'm very curious.
