Hi guys!

velvet_liquor, and I wanted to keep everyone else up to speed...
For all of you who are reading House of Cards (journal statistics indicate there's about 50 of you, which is very impressive, although admittedly most of you are ghosts), I thought I'd better give you the rundown of my plans for this fic, the structure and length of it, etc.
I'm getting closer to the point now where I'm going to split it up. We're currently in Part One; there will be a Part Two. Whether or not Part Two will be as long as Part One, I can't say, but suffice to say it will probably not be short.
For those of you who think that's too much entirely, I will be making every effort to give Part One a satisfying ending - obviously, it's not the end, but I will try to make it a fair stopping point for those of you who really don't want to slog through another 200 pages of text.
Part Two will take place about five years after the events of Part One, in conjunction with Protect Me.

As always I would like to say that as I write this fic, your support, encouragement, feedback, critique and complaints would all be very welcome, and I literally cannot stress that enough. I love writing but sometimes it's hard to gain motivation when I feel like my words are being sucked into a black hole.
Furthermore, if there are 50 of you and only one girl feels moved to comment, then I feel like I'm doing a shitty, shitty job and I should just stop. I am a real person and stupid as it sounds, this really does upset me.
