So I'm back!
Florence was really nice. Nice but hot! I can fall victim to the heat a bit (I'm English, so anything above twenty five degrees is like touching the fucking sun for me), but the city was so pretty.
Unfortunately the airport was nuts, because so many people are coming in for the Olympics (apparently unaware that it's on TV. For FREE). So I'm glad to be home!
I was jotting stuff down all week, too...taking time away from the PC and the endless almost-blank word documents was actually really what I needed. Now that I'm feeling more enthusiastic, and ready to write again, I can have a shuffle around with the bits and pieces I've written and sort out what is actually coming next. It's still pinballing between 'The Meaning of Happiness', which is 'up' at the moment (subject to change, even though I said I was 100% on it, ulp), a more serious but (I fear) better fic called 'Never Let Me Go', which would be a nice challenge, and a very old idea which I've recently rebooted...as yet unnamed...it was something I've been thinking about since three years ago, so maybe...
So watch this space, and we'll see in a few days! Hopefully.
