Canada Ahoy
Jul. 19th, 2012 01:01 pmMy Canada countdown is set to 42 days...!
This is obviously very exciting, because what's better than leaving everything behind for a year? Er, nothing. Family, housemates, old friends, you can SUCK IT.*
But really, I'm getting all excited because important things are starting to arrive at the house, including but not limited to my VISA and my super snuggly snow boots.

Imagine a world in which these are required footwear.
Er, I also got my new debit card, which is not for Canada...but is still very important. My old one shattered because apparently they're just not made to be structurally-sound platforms for pints of beer. Fun fact, the pint glass also shattered. And they couldn't kick me out of the bar, because I work there.
In all seriousness, I am genuinely very excited/bereft to be leaving the UK...once I do, my nearest friend will be about 15 hours away, in Salem, Oregon. Not ideal as, obviously, that is in a different country.
But yeah, my flight leaves on September 1st, so look out for a big trail of magic in your airspace. If you live in Canada. Or Greenland.
*I love them all very much and will cry every night...until I make new friends and forget them, DOUBLE BURN!
